Why Do You Have To Consolidate Loans For PSLF – The PSLF form is a form that you have to complete in order to apply for the Public Service loan forgiveness program. The PSLF is a program that allows you to have your loans forgiven upon completion of 10 consecutive years. If you want to participate in the program, you must perform full-time work for a qualifying employer and be able to make 120 timely payments.

You can qualify to file for PSLF only if you hold an eligible loan and have made the required 120 payments on that loan. You could be eligible to apply for PSLF with only 10 qualifying installments, but you must apply for it prior to the 10 years that begin the repayment period.
