PSLF Loan Form – A PSLF form is one form that you must complete in order to be eligible for the Public Service Grant Forgiveness program. The PSLF is the program that allows you to have your loan forgiven following 10 years’ service. When you are eligible to join the program, you must work full-time for a qualifying employer, and you must make on-time 120 payments.
If you’re not certain on what qualifies as being an employer that is qualified, here are some suggestions which are considered to be qualifying:
-Your government employer
It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
-An un-profit or public health organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to file for PSLF Loan Form?
You’re eligible to apply for PSLF if you have the qualifying loan and can make the required 120 payments on that loan. You may be eligible to file for PSLF when you’ve made 10 qualifying repayments, but you must apply at the beginning of the 10th year of the repayment period.
You don’t have to declare PSLF prior to the start of your payment period. You may wait until you’ve made 120 payment before you file for it.
