PSLF Help Tool – Form PSLF PSLF form is an form which you have to fill in to be eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. The PSLF is a program that allows you to have your loan forgiven following 10 years’ service. To be eligible for this program, you need to perform your job full-time at a qualified employer and make 120 on-time payments.
If you’re unsure on what qualifies as being a qualifying employer, then here are some things that meet the criteria:
-Your government employer
“A” stands for 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
A public health or non-profit health care organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to file for PSLF Help Tool?
You’re eligible to apply for PSLF only if you hold a loan that is eligible and you have made 120 qualifying payment on the loan. You may be eligible to apply for PSLF after making only 10 qualifying payment, but you must apply for it during the first 10 years after the start of your repayment period.
It is not necessary to submit a claim for PSLF in the first month of the repayment period. You will have to wait until the completion of 120 payments before submitting for it.
