Umich PSLF

Umich PSLF – This PSLF form is an application form which you have to complete in order to qualify for the Public Service Credit Forgiveness Plan. The PSLF is an initiative that allows you to have your loans forgiven after 10 years of service. In order to be eligible the program, you need to work full-time for an eligible employer and be able to make 120 timely payments.

If you’re uncertain regarding what qualifies as an eligible employer, these are the things that qualify:

-Your government employer

The organization is 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation

A public or non-profit health care institution

-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service

When do I need to file for Umich PSLF?

You’re eligible to apply for PSLF if you have the qualifying loan and can make 120 qualifying payments to that loan. It’s possible to file for PSLF with only 10 qualifying installments, but you have to file for it prior to the 10 years that begin your repayment period.

It’s not necessary to make an application for PSLF in the first month of the repayment period. You may wait until you’ve made 120 transactions before submitting your application.
