The PSLF is program that allows you to have your loan forgiven upon completion of 10 consecutive years. The program is available to those who qualify. this program, you need to complete your full-time job for a reputable employer and be able to make 120 timely payments.
If you’re unsure which qualifies as an employer with a qualified status, these are the items that are eligible:
-Your government employer
“A” stands for 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
A public or non-profit health care organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
What is the deadline to File For Department Of State PSLF?
You’re eligible to apply for PSLF only if you hold a qualifying loan and are able to make 120 qualifying payments to that loan. You may be able apply for PSLF by making just 10 qualifying payments. However, you must file for it at the beginning of the 10th year of the repayment period.
There is no requirement to be a candidate for PSLF prior to the start of your payment period. You will have to wait until the completion of 120 transactions before submitting your application.
