You’re eligible to apply to apply for PSLF only if you hold an eligible loan and you make 120 qualifying installments on that loan. You could be eligible to apply for PSLF after having made just 10 qualifying installments, but you must submit a request for it before the end of the repayment period.
You don’t have to file for PSLF from the very beginning of your repayment period. You can wait until having made 120 payments before submitting for it.
