PSLF Annual Certification Form – The PSLF form is an form that you will need to fill out to apply for the Public Service The Loan Forgiveness Programme. The PSLF is an opportunity for you to have your loans forgiven after 10 years of service. In order to be eligible this program, you need to work full-time for a qualifying employer and pay 120 on-time payments.
If you are not sure about what qualifies as an employer that is qualified, these are the items that can be considered qualifying:
-Your government employer
• A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
A public health or non-profit health care organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I need to File For PSLF Annual Certification Form?
You can qualify to file for PSLF only if you hold an eligible loan and have made 120 qualifying payment on the loan. It is possible to apply for PSLF after you have made only 10 qualifying payment, but you must file before the end of your repayment period.
It’s not necessary to declare PSLF prior to the start of your payment period. You will have to wait until the completion of 120 payments before filing.
