The Problem With PSLF – PSLF form PSLF form is an form you must fill out to apply for the Public Service Grant Forgiveness program. The PSLF is a program that allows to receive your loans for free at the end of 10 years’ work. For you to qualify for the program, you need to perform your job full-time at a qualified employer, and you must make on-time 120 payments.
If you’re not sure regarding what qualifies as an employer that is qualified, below are some items you can consider:
-Your government employer
–A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
A public health or non-profit health care provider
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I need to File For The Problem With PSLF?
You can qualify for PSLF If you hold a loan that is eligible and you have made the required 120 payments on that loan. You might be able to file for PSLF when you’ve made 10 qualifying installments, but you must file during the first 10 years after the start of your repayment period.
It’s not necessary to make an application for PSLF prior to the start of your payment period. You can wait until having made 120 installments before filing for it.
