PSLF Fedloan Servicing – The PSLF form is a form that you need to complete in order to get the Public Service loan forgiveness program. The PSLF is an opportunity for you to have your loans forgiven upon completion of 10 consecutive years. For you to qualify for the program, you must work full-time for a qualifying employer and make 120 on-time payments.
If you’re unsure on what qualifies as being a qualifying employer, then here are some of the things that meet the criteria:
-Your government employer
• A 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
A public health or non-profit health organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to file for PSLF Fedloan Servicing?
You’re eligible to apply to file for PSLF if you have an eligible loan and you make 120 qualifying payments to that loan. You could be eligible to apply for PSLF after you have made only 10 qualifying loans, however, you must file prior to the 10 years that begin the repayment period.
You do not have to be a candidate for PSLF immediately at the time of beginning your repayment period. You may wait until you’ve made 120 installments before filing for it.
