You can qualify to apply for PSLF when you own a qualifying loan and are able to make 120 qualifying payment on the loan. You may be eligible to file for PSLF when you’ve made 10 qualifying loans, however, you must file for it within 10 years from the commencement of your repayment period.
You don’t have to apply for PSLF in the first month of the repayment period. You will have to wait until the completion of 120 payments before submitting for it.
