PSLF Volunteer Work – Form PSLF PSLF form is it’s a form you must fill out to get the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. The PSLF is a program that allows you the forgiveness of your loans at the end of 10 years’ work. When you are eligible to join the program, you need to work full-time for a qualifying employer and pay 120 on-time payments.
If you’re uncertain whether you are an employer that qualifies, here are some of the things you can consider:
-Your government employer
“A” stands for 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
A non-profit, public health-care organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I need to file for PSLF Volunteer Work?
You’re eligible for PSLF for those who have the qualifying loan and can make 120 qualifying repayments on that loan. You may be able apply for PSLF after you have made only 10 qualifying loans, however, you must file for it at the beginning of the 10th year of your repayment period.
You do not need to fill out a form for PSLF when you begin your repayment period. You will have to wait until the completion of 120 installments before filing for it.
