PSLF Forgiveness Tax – This PSLF form is it’s a form that you have to complete to apply for the Public Service the Loan Repayment Program. The PSLF is an initiative that allows you to forgive your debts in the event of 10 years’ continuous service. If you want to participate in the program, you must work full-time for an eligible employer, and you must make on-time 120 payments.

If you’re unsure which qualifies as an eligible employer, here are some things that meet the criteria:

-Your government employer

The organization is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization

A public or non-profit health care institution

-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service

When do I need to file for PSLF Forgiveness Tax?

You are eligible to file for PSLF if you have a qualifying loan and make 120 qualifying payments on that loan. You may be eligible to file for PSLF with only 10 qualifying payments, however you must apply for it for it within 10 years from the commencement of the repayment period.

There is no requirement to file for PSLF immediately at the time of beginning your repayment period. You can wait until you’ve made 120 payments before submitting for it.
