PSLF Loan – It is the PSLF form is A form that you must complete to participate in the Public Services loan forgiveness program. The PSLF is a program that allows you to be granted loan forgiveness after 10 years of service. When you are eligible to join the program, you need to work full-time for a qualified employer and pay 120 on-time payments.
If you’re not sure about what is an employer that qualifies, here are some of the things that meet the criteria:
-Your government employer
It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
A non-profit or public health organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I need to file for PSLF Loan?
You can qualify to file for PSLF only if you hold an eligible loan and have made 120 qualifying installments on that loan. It’s possible to file for PSLF after only making 10 qualifying payments, but you must file in the initial 10 years following the repayment period.
It’s not necessary to be a candidate for PSLF at the beginning of your repayment period. You will have to wait until the completion of 120 installments before filing for it.
