Fed Loans PSLF – Form PSLF PSLF form is an form you must fill out to apply for the Public Service Grant Forgiveness program. The PSLF is a program that allows to have your loans forgiven at the end of 10 years’ work. If you want to participate in this program, you need to work full-time for a qualifying employer and be able to make 120 timely payments.
If you’re confused which qualifies as a qualifying employer, then here are some things that qualify:
-Your government employer
-A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
A public or non-profit health organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to file for Fed Loans PSLF?
You’re eligible to apply to apply for PSLF if you have a qualifying loan and make 120 qualifying payments on that loan. It is possible to file for PSLF with only 10 qualifying payments. However, you must file prior to the 10 years that begin the repayment period.
You do not need to file for PSLF when you begin your repayment period. You can wait until having made 120 payment before you file for it.
