PSLF Payment Requirements – It is the PSLF form is A form that you must fill out in order to qualify for the Public Service The Loan Forgiveness Programme. The PSLF is an option that permits you the forgiveness of your loans at the end of 10 years’ work. To be eligible for this program, you need to work full-time for a qualifying employer and pay 120 on-time payments.
If you’re confused which qualifies as an eligible employer, these are the items that qualify:
-Your government employer
A 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
A public health or non-profit health care institution
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I need to File For PSLF Payment Requirements?
You’re eligible to apply for PSLF If you hold one of the loans that qualifies and you’ve made 120 qualifying monthly payments on that loan. You may be eligible to apply for PSLF with only 10 qualifying installments, but you must submit a request for it for it within 10 years from the commencement of your repayment period.
There is no requirement to make an application for PSLF prior to the start of your payment period. You will have to wait until the completion of 120 payments before filing.
