O PSLF – A PSLF form is one form which you have to fill in to participate in the Public Services The Loan Forgiveness Programme. The PSLF is a program that allows you to receive your loans for free upon completion of 10 consecutive years. For you to qualify for this program, you need to work full-time for a qualifying employer and be able to make 120 timely payments.
If you are not sure of what constitutes an employer with a qualified status, here are some things that can be considered qualifying:
-Your government employer
The organization is 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
A public health or non-profit health care institution
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to File For O PSLF?
You’re eligible to apply for PSLF If you hold one of the loans that qualifies and you’ve made 120 qualifying installments on that loan. It’s possible to apply for PSLF by making just 10 qualifying payment, but you must apply prior to the 10 years that begin the repayment period.
There’s no need to apply for PSLF prior to the start of your payment period. You can wait until you’ve made 120 payments before filing.
