Nhsc And PSLF – PSLF form PSLF form is a form which you need to fill out to receive the Public Service loan forgiveness program. The PSLF is a program that allows to have your loans forgiven after 10 years of service. To be eligible for the program, you need to perform your job full-time at a qualified employer and be able to make 120 timely payments.
If you are not sure of what constitutes an employer that qualifies, these are the things that qualify:
-Your government employer
“A” stands for 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
A public health or non-profit health care organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to file for Nhsc And PSLF?
You’re eligible to apply for PSLF If you hold one of the loans that qualifies and you’ve made 120 qualifying installments on that loan. You could be eligible to apply for PSLF with only 10 qualifying payments, but the application must be filed within the first 10 years of your repayment period.
It is not necessary to file for PSLF immediately at the time of beginning your repayment period. You can wait until having made 120 payments prior to filing for it.
