PSLF Count – A PSLF form is an form which you need to complete to qualify for the Public Service loan forgiveness program. The PSLF is an initiative that allows you to receive your loans for free within 10 years after you have served. To be eligible for this program, you must be employed full-time with a qualifying employer and be able to make 120 timely payments.

If you’re uncertain about what is an employer with a qualified status, these are the items that qualify:

-Your government employer

It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation

A public health care institution

-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service

When do I need to File For PSLF Count?

You’re eligible for PSLF when you own a qualifying loan and are able to make 120 qualifying payments to that loan. You may be able file for PSLF by making just 10 qualifying payments, however you must file for it for it within 10 years from the commencement of your repayment period.

You do not need to declare PSLF when you begin your repayment period. You are able to wait until you’ve completed 120 payments prior to filing for it.
