When do I have to File For Fedloan Servicing PSLF Payment Tracker?

You are eligible to apply for PSLF depending on whether you’ve got a qualifying loan and are able to make 120 qualifying payments on that loan. You may be eligible to file for PSLF with only 10 qualifying payments. However, you must apply for it during the first 10 years after the start of your repayment period.

There is no requirement to apply for PSLF immediately at the time of beginning your repayment period. You are able to wait until you’ve completed 120 payments prior to filing for it.
