#PSLF – The PSLF form is an application form that you must fill out in order to qualify for the Public Service Credit Forgiveness Plan. The PSLF is an initiative that allows you to have your loans forgiven when you reach 10 years in service. To be eligible for the program, you must be employed full-time with a qualifying employer and be able to make 120 timely payments.

If you’re not sure which qualifies as a qualifying employer, then below are some items that are eligible:

-Your government employer

A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization

A public or non-profit health care organization

-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service

What is the deadline to File For #PSLF?

You’re eligible to apply to file for PSLF if you have a qualifying loan and are able to make 120 qualifying payments on that loan. It is possible to file for PSLF by making just 10 qualifying loans, however, you must apply for it for it within 10 years from the commencement of the repayment period.

There is no requirement to file for PSLF from the very beginning of your repayment period. You are able to wait until you’ve completed 120 transactions before submitting your application.
