Student Aid.gov/PSLF Waiver – This PSLF form is a form which you have to fill out in order to be eligible for the Public Service Credit Forgiveness Plan. The PSLF is program that allows you the forgiveness of your loans following 10 years’ service. For you to qualify for the program, you must work full-time for a qualified employer and be able to make 120 timely payments.

If you are not sure about what qualifies as an employer that is qualified, these are the things that meet the criteria:

-Your government employer

• A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization

A public or non-profit health care institution

-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service

When do I need to file for Student Aid.gov/PSLF Waiver?

You can qualify to file for PSLF If you hold an eligible loan and you make 120 qualifying payments to that loan. It’s possible to apply for PSLF by making just 10 qualifying payments. However, the application must be filed in the initial 10 years following the repayment period.

It’s not necessary to file for PSLF immediately at the time of beginning your repayment period. You may wait until you’ve made 120 payments before filing for it.
