The PSLF is an option that permits you to forgive your debts when you reach 10 years in service. When do I have to File For PSLF Is A Fraud?
You are eligible to apply for PSLF If you hold the qualifying loan and can make the required 120 payments on that loan. It’s possible to apply for PSLF after having made just 10 qualifying payments, but you have to file for it during the first 10 years after the start of the repayment period.
You do not need to apply for PSLF prior to the start of your payment period. You have the option of waiting until you’ve paid 120 payments before filing.
