PSLF While Graduate Student Fellow – PSLF form PSLF form is a form which you have to complete in order to get the Public Service Grant Forgiveness program. The PSLF is an opportunity for you to be granted loan forgiveness upon completion of 10 consecutive years. If you want to participate in this program, you need to work full-time for an eligible employer and pay 120 on-time payments.
If you’re unsure about what is an eligible employer, these are the items that meet the criteria:
-Your government employer
• A 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
-An un-profit or public health care provider
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I need to file for PSLF While Graduate Student Fellow?
You’re eligible to file for PSLF depending on whether you’ve got a qualifying loan and make 120 qualifying payments on that loan. You may be able apply for PSLF after having made just 10 qualifying installments, but you must apply for it during the first 10 years after the start of the repayment period.
You don’t have to submit a claim for PSLF in the first month of the repayment period. You can wait until after you’ve completed 120 transactions before submitting your application.
