Fedloan Not Counting PSLF Payments – Form PSLF PSLF form is it’s a form that you must complete in order to apply for the Public Service Invoice Forgiveness. The PSLF is the program that allows you to get your loans repaid after 10 years of service. To be eligible for the program, you must perform your job full-time at a qualified employer and be able to make 120 timely payments.
If you’re still not certain about what qualifies as an employer that is qualified, these are the items which are considered to be qualifying:
-Your government employer
The organization is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
A public health or non-profit health care institution
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I need to file for Fedloan Not Counting PSLF Payments?
You’re eligible to apply for PSLF in the event that you have a loan that is eligible and you have made the required 120 payments on that loan. It’s possible to apply for PSLF when you’ve made 10 qualifying payments. However, you must file before the end of the repayment period.
You don’t have to apply for PSLF at the beginning of your repayment period. You can wait until after you’ve completed 120 payments before filing.
