University Of California PSLF – A PSLF form is one form that you must fill out to be eligible for the Public Service Grant Forgiveness program. The PSLF is the program that allows you to have your loan forgiven when you reach 10 years in service. Before you can be considered eligible the program, you need to work full-time for a qualified employer, and you must make on-time 120 payments.
If you’re not sure whether you are an employer with a qualified status, here are some of the things that can be considered qualifying:
-Your government employer
–A 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
A public or non-profit health care provider
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I need to file for University Of California PSLF?
You are eligible for PSLF when you own a qualifying loan and are able to make 120 qualifying payment on the loan. It’s possible to file for PSLF after making only 10 qualifying payments. However, the application must be filed for it within 10 years from the commencement of the repayment period.
There is no requirement to declare PSLF immediately at the time of beginning your repayment period. You may wait until you’ve made 120 payments before filing.
