Public Student Loan Forgiveness PSLF Employment Certification Form – The PSLF form is the form you must complete in order to be eligible for the Public Service loan forgiveness program. The PSLF is a program that allows to get your loans repaid within 10 years after you have served. In order to be eligible the program, you must complete your full-time job for a reputable employer and pay 120 on-time payments.
If you’re uncertain about what qualifies as an employer with a qualified status, these are the things that qualify:
-Your government employer
It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
A public health organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
What is the deadline to file for Public Student Loan Forgiveness PSLF Employment Certification Form?
You are eligible to apply for PSLF if you have a loan that is eligible and you have made 120 qualifying installments on that loan. You may be eligible to apply for PSLF after having made just 10 qualifying payments. However, you must file in the initial 10 years following the repayment period.
You don’t have to submit a claim for PSLF immediately at the time of beginning your repayment period. You will have to wait until the completion of 120 payments before filing for it.
