Switch From Repaye To PSLF – A PSLF form is A form that you need to fill in to participate in the Public Services Grant Forgiveness program. The PSLF is program that allows you to forgive your debts upon completion of 10 consecutive years. If you want to participate in the program, you must work full-time for a qualified employer and pay 120 on-time payments.

If you’re confused which qualifies as an employer that is qualified, these are the items which are considered to be qualifying:

-Your government employer

The organization is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization

A public or non-profit health care institution

-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service

When do I have to file for Switch From Repaye To PSLF?

You’re eligible to apply for PSLF for those who have a loan that is eligible and you have made 120 qualifying payments to that loan. You may be eligible to file for PSLF after only making 10 qualifying payments. However, you have to file for it within the first 10 years of the repayment period.

You do not have to make an application for PSLF when you begin your repayment period. You can wait until after you’ve completed 120 payment before you file for it.
