Limited Waiver PSLF – The PSLF form is an form that you must fill in to get the Public Service Credit Forgiveness Plan. The PSLF is a program that allows you to be granted loan forgiveness after 10 years of service. If you want to participate in the program, you need to perform full-time work for a qualifying employer and make 120 on-time payments.
If you’re confused of what constitutes an employer with a qualified status, here are some suggestions that can be considered qualifying:
-Your government employer
–A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
A public or non-profit health care organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I need to File For Limited Waiver PSLF?
You’re eligible to apply for PSLF depending on whether you’ve got a qualifying loan and make 120 qualifying monthly payments on that loan. You might be able to file for PSLF when you’ve made 10 qualifying repayments, but you must submit a request for it during the first 10 years after the start of the repayment period.
You do not need to declare PSLF before the commencement of your loan period. You will have to wait until the completion of 120 payment before you file for it.
