PSLF Employment Recertification Form – This PSLF form is a form which you need to fill out to participate in the Public Services Loan Forgiveness Program. The PSLF is an initiative that allows you to be granted loan forgiveness at the end of 10 years’ work. In order to be eligible this program, you need to complete your full-time job for a reputable employer, and you must make on-time 120 payments.
If you’re not certain of what constitutes a qualifying employer, then these are the things that are eligible:
-Your government employer
“A” stands for 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
-A non-profit or public health-care organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I need to File For PSLF Employment Recertification Form?
You’re eligible to apply for PSLF only if you hold an eligible loan and have made 120 qualifying repayments on that loan. You might be able to file for PSLF after you have made only 10 qualifying loans, however, you must file for it within the first 10 years of the repayment period.
There is no requirement to declare PSLF prior to the start of your payment period. You can wait until after you’ve completed 120 transactions before submitting your application.
