Coronavirus PSLF – This PSLF form is an application form which you have to fill out in order to qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. The PSLF is an initiative that allows you to forgive your debts upon completion of 10 consecutive years. For you to qualify for the program, you must complete your full-time job for a reputable employer and be able to make 120 timely payments.
If you’re uncertain on what qualifies as being an eligible employer, these are the items that qualify:
-Your government employer
“A” stands for 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
-A non-profit or public health-care organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to File For Coronavirus PSLF?
You’re eligible to apply for PSLF in the event that you have one of the loans that qualifies and you’ve made 120 qualifying payments to that loan. You may be able file for PSLF after having made just 10 qualifying installments, but you must file before the end of the repayment period.
There’s no need to file for PSLF in the first month of the repayment period. You will have to wait until the completion of 120 payments before filing.
