When do I need to file for Do Teachers Qualify PSLF Program?
You can qualify to apply for PSLF in the event that you have a loan that is eligible and you have made 120 qualifying installments on that loan. You could be eligible to file for PSLF with only 10 qualifying loans, however, you must apply for it before the end of your repayment period.
You do not need to declare PSLF prior to the start of your payment period. You can wait until after you’ve completed 120 payments before filing for it.
