If you’re uncertain about what is an eligible employer, these are the items that qualify:
-Your government employer
–A 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
A public health or non-profit health care provider
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to File For Doe PSLF?
You can qualify for PSLF in the event that you have the qualifying loan and can make 120 qualifying installments on that loan. You may be able to file for PSLF after having made just 10 qualifying payments, however you must submit a request for it in the initial 10 years following the repayment period.
There’s no need to file for PSLF at the beginning of your repayment period. You will have to wait until the completion of 120 payments before filing for it.
