The PSLF is an initiative that allows you to receive your loans for free in the event of 10 years’ continuous service. When do I need to File For Eligible For PSLF As Cuny Employee?
You are eligible for PSLF in the event that you have one of the loans that qualifies and you’ve made 120 qualifying repayments on that loan. You may be eligible to apply for PSLF when you’ve made 10 qualifying payments, but the application must be filed at the beginning of the 10th year of your repayment period.
You do not need to be a candidate for PSLF in the first month of the repayment period. You may wait until you’ve made 120 payments prior to filing for it.
