Eligible PSLF Loan Servicers – This PSLF form is one form that you need to fill in you can be eligible for the public service Grant Forgiveness program. The PSLF is a program that allows to receive your loans for free when you reach 10 years in service. For you to qualify for this program, you must be employed full-time with a qualifying employer and be able to make 120 timely payments.
If you are not sure about what is an eligible employer, there are a few things that count:
-Your government employer
It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
A non-profit, public health care organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
What is the deadline to File For Eligible PSLF Loan Servicers?
You are eligible for PSLF only if you hold a loan that is eligible and you have made 120 qualifying payments to that loan. You may be able file for PSLF after making only 10 qualifying repayments, but you must apply for it in the initial 10 years following the repayment period.
It is not necessary to declare PSLF prior to the start of your payment period. You will have to wait until the completion of 120 payments prior to filing for it.
