Federal Loan Public Service Forgiveness Form – The PSLF form is an form that you must fill out you can be eligible for the public service Loan Forgiveness Program. The PSLF is an opportunity for you the forgiveness of your loans within 10 years after you have served. Before you can be considered eligible the program, you need to complete your full-time job for a reputable employer and be able to make 120 timely payments.
If you are not sure whether you are a qualifying employer, then here are some things you can consider:
-Your government employer
The organization is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
A public health or non-profit health organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I need to File For Federal Loan Public Service Forgiveness Form?
You can qualify to apply for PSLF for those who have a qualifying loan and make 120 qualifying monthly payments on that loan. You might be able to file for PSLF after you have made only 10 qualifying installments, but the application must be filed during the first 10 years after the start of the repayment period.
There is no requirement to submit a claim for PSLF in the first month of the repayment period. You can wait until having made 120 payment before you file for it.
