You are eligible to file for PSLF depending on whether you’ve got an eligible loan and have made 120 qualifying payments to that loan. You may be eligible to file for PSLF with only 10 qualifying payments, however the application must be filed in the initial 10 years following your repayment period.
It is not necessary to fill out a form for PSLF in the first month of the repayment period. You can wait until having made 120 transactions before submitting your application.
