When do I have to file for Fedloan PSLF Recertification?
You’re eligible for PSLF when you own the qualifying loan and can make 120 qualifying repayments on that loan. It’s possible to file for PSLF by making just 10 qualifying loans, however, you must submit a request for it within the first 10 years of your repayment period.
It is not necessary to submit a claim for PSLF from the very beginning of your repayment period. You can wait until you’ve made 120 transactions before submitting your application.
