The PSLF is a program that allows you to be granted loan forgiveness after 10 years of service. Before you can be considered eligible the program, you must work full-time for a qualifying employer and pay 120 on-time payments.

When do I have to file for Form For PSLF Recertification?
You are eligible to apply for PSLF depending on whether you’ve got the qualifying loan and can make 120 qualifying payments on that loan. You may be eligible to apply for PSLF after you have made only 10 qualifying payments, but you have to file for it prior to the 10 years that begin your repayment period.
You do not need to apply for PSLF prior to the start of your payment period. You can wait until you’ve made 120 payments prior to filing for it.
