The PSLF is an opportunity for you to get your loans repaid upon completion of 10 consecutive years. When do I have to file for Ge PSLF Pricing?
You are eligible for PSLF only if you hold the qualifying loan and can make 120 qualifying payments to that loan. You may be able file for PSLF after making only 10 qualifying repayments, but you must apply before the end of the repayment period.
You do not have to declare PSLF from the very beginning of your repayment period. You can wait until having made 120 payments before filing for it.
