You’re eligible to apply to apply for PSLF if you have an eligible loan and have made 120 qualifying repayments on that loan. You might be able to file for PSLF after you have made only 10 qualifying payment, but you must file in the initial 10 years following your repayment period.
You don’t have to declare PSLF immediately at the time of beginning your repayment period. You will have to wait until the completion of 120 payments before submitting for it.
