You’re eligible to apply for PSLF when you own an eligible loan and you make 120 qualifying monthly payments on that loan. You may be able file for PSLF after having made just 10 qualifying repayments, but you must apply before the end of your repayment period.
You don’t have to make an application for PSLF immediately at the time of beginning your repayment period. You can wait until you’ve made 120 payments before submitting for it.
