PSLF Application Form – This PSLF form is an form which you have to complete to be eligible for the Public Service Grant Forgiveness program. The PSLF is a program that allows you to have your loan forgiven after 10 years of service. Before you can be considered eligible the program, you need to perform full-time work for a qualifying employer and make 120 on-time payments.
If you are not sure which qualifies as an employer with a qualified status, below are some items that count:
-Your government employer
“A” stands for 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
A public health care provider
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to File For PSLF Application Form?
You’re eligible to file for PSLF for those who have an eligible loan and you make 120 qualifying repayments on that loan. You could be eligible to apply for PSLF with only 10 qualifying installments, but you must file for it before the end of the repayment period.
It is not necessary to be a candidate for PSLF in the first month of the repayment period. You can wait until having made 120 payments prior to filing for it.
