PSLF Certification Form – Form PSLF PSLF form is A form that you need to fill out to qualify for the Public Service loan forgiveness program. The PSLF is a program that allows the forgiveness of your loans in the event of 10 years’ continuous service. If you want to participate in the program, you need to work full-time for an eligible employer and pay 120 on-time payments.
If you’re not sure about what is an employer that qualifies, these are the things that meet the criteria:
-Your government employer
–A 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
-An un-profit or public health care institution
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I need to File For PSLF Certification Form?
You’re eligible to file for PSLF if you have an eligible loan and have made the required 120 payments on that loan. You may be able to file for PSLF after making only 10 qualifying payments. However, you must apply during the first 10 years after the start of the repayment period.
There’s no need to apply for PSLF before the commencement of your loan period. You are able to wait until you’ve completed 120 payments before filing for it.
