PSLF Consolidated – The PSLF form is one form that you will need to fill in you can be eligible for the public service the Loan Repayment Program. The PSLF is an initiative that allows you to get your loans repaid upon completion of 10 consecutive years. For you to qualify for the program, you must perform full-time work for a qualifying employer and pay 120 on-time payments.
If you’re uncertain on what qualifies as being a qualifying employer, then these are the things that are eligible:
-Your government employer
The organization is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
A non-profit, public health care provider
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to file for PSLF Consolidated?
You’re eligible to file for PSLF only if you hold the qualifying loan and can make 120 qualifying payment on the loan. It is possible to apply for PSLF after you have made only 10 qualifying installments, but you must file for it within 10 years from the commencement of the repayment period.
It’s not necessary to make an application for PSLF in the first month of the repayment period. You will have to wait until the completion of 120 transactions before submitting your application.
