PSLF Employment Form – A PSLF form is a form which you have to fill out to apply for the Public Service the Loan Repayment Program. The PSLF is a program that allows you to have your loan forgiven after 10 years of service. To be eligible for this program, you must perform full-time work for a qualifying employer and pay 120 on-time payments.
If you’re confused about what is a qualifying employer, then here are some suggestions that qualify:
-Your government employer
The organization is 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
A non-profit, public health care institution
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to file for PSLF Employment Form?
You’re eligible to apply to file for PSLF depending on whether you’ve got an eligible loan and have made 120 qualifying monthly payments on that loan. You may be eligible to file for PSLF after having made just 10 qualifying installments, but the application must be filed at the beginning of the 10th year of the repayment period.
You do not need to submit a claim for PSLF at the beginning of your repayment period. You are able to wait until you’ve completed 120 transactions before submitting your application.
