You can qualify to file for PSLF when you own a loan that is eligible and you have made 120 qualifying payments to that loan. You might be able to apply for PSLF when you’ve made 10 qualifying installments, but you must apply for it before the end of the repayment period.
You don’t have to fill out a form for PSLF at the beginning of your repayment period. You can wait until you’ve made 120 transactions before submitting your application.
