PSLF Federal Contractor – The PSLF form is the form that you must fill in to qualify for the Public Service the Loan Repayment Program. The PSLF is program that allows you to have your loans forgiven after 10 years of service. To be eligible for the program, you need to work full-time for a qualified employer and pay 120 on-time payments.
If you’re unsure whether you are an employer that qualifies, below are some items that count:
-Your government employer
It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
-An un-profit or public health organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to File For PSLF Federal Contractor?
You are eligible to apply for PSLF in the event that you have one of the loans that qualifies and you’ve made 120 qualifying monthly payments on that loan. It’s possible to file for PSLF after only making 10 qualifying repayments, but you must file for it before the end of your repayment period.
You do not have to file for PSLF when you begin your repayment period. You can wait until you’ve made 120 payments prior to filing for it.
