PSLF Friends – This PSLF form is a form which you have to fill in to participate in the Public Services the Loan Repayment Program. The PSLF is an option that permits you to get your loans repaid in the event of 10 years’ continuous service. In order to be eligible the program, you need to perform full-time work for a qualifying employer, and you must make on-time 120 payments.
If you are not sure which qualifies as an employer that is qualified, below are some items that are eligible:
-Your government employer
–A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
A non-profit, public health-care organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to file for PSLF Friends?
You can qualify to apply for PSLF when you own an eligible loan and you make 120 qualifying repayments on that loan. You might be able to apply for PSLF after you have made only 10 qualifying repayments, but you must file for it for it within 10 years from the commencement of the repayment period.
There is no requirement to be a candidate for PSLF in the first month of the repayment period. You will have to wait until the completion of 120 payments before filing.
