PSLF Limited Waiver Program – A PSLF form is a form which you need to fill out in order to qualify for the Public Service loan forgiveness program. The PSLF is the program that allows you the forgiveness of your loans after 10 years of service. When you are eligible to join this program, you must perform your job full-time at a qualified employer and make 120 on-time payments.
If you are not sure whether you are an eligible employer, these are the items that meet the criteria:
-Your government employer
The organization is 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
A public or non-profit health organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I have to File For PSLF Limited Waiver Program?
You can qualify for PSLF only if you hold an eligible loan and have made 120 qualifying payments on that loan. It’s possible to apply for PSLF by making just 10 qualifying payments, but you must apply for it for it within 10 years from the commencement of your repayment period.
There’s no need to apply for PSLF when you begin your repayment period. You are able to wait until you’ve completed 120 installments before filing for it.
