PSLF Loan Certification Form – The PSLF form is the form that you must fill out in order to receive the Public Service the Loan Repayment Program. The PSLF is an initiative that allows you to receive your loans for free upon completion of 10 consecutive years. In order to be eligible this program, you must work full-time for an eligible employer and be able to make 120 timely payments.
If you’re still not certain about what is an employer with a qualified status, below are some items that qualify:
-Your government employer
–A 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation
A public health-care organization
-An AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer service
When do I need to file for PSLF Loan Certification Form?
You are eligible to apply for PSLF if you have a qualifying loan and make 120 qualifying payment on the loan. You might be able to file for PSLF by making just 10 qualifying repayments, but you must file for it during the first 10 years after the start of the repayment period.
You do not need to fill out a form for PSLF in the first month of the repayment period. You may wait until you’ve made 120 payments prior to filing for it.
